The latest model of the PanoMatic Luna ladies watch gives the watchmaking art a truly heavenly dimension. On its delicate mother-of-pearl dial, a silver moon draws its course, and diamonds twinkle like stars on the firmament. The characteristic decentralized hour / minute display, a small second and the classic Glashütte Original Panoramadatum make the reading of time a real pleasure.
The dial: A blue miracle
The iridescent blue shimmering mother-of-pearl dial of the new PanoMatic Luna attracts all eyes. It is produced in elaborate handwork in the in-house dial manufacturer in Pforzheim. Mother of pearl is an organic material that is extracted from the innermost layer of mussels. Its brittle texture makes utmost caution when processing it. In order to achieve exactly the desired shade, the back of the soft white base material is carefully painted. The natural grain of the mother-of-pearl makes for individuality and makes every model unique.
The moon phase display: The woman in the moon
The moon has always fascinated people. The PanoMatic Luna captures its charm gracefully: the gently curved relief of the moon presents itself in front of a fine silver-colored starry sky. Its elegant roundness is created with great skill by careful diamond cutting, which gives its profile optical depth. The traditional as well as artistic display is to be found at 2 o'clock and represents a real rarity in a mechanical ladies' watch.
The Panoramadatum: Typical Glashütte Original
The characteristic grand date is one of the distinctive stylistic elements of Glashütte Original. It is based on two concentrically arranged indicator discs, which are on the same level. In this way, the two digits of the date can be presented without the otherwise common segmented middle path and thus offer an optimal readability. Matching the elegant design of the PanoMatic Luna, the panorama date can be found in an oval dial at 4 o'clock.
The finely polished stainless steel case of 39.4 mm diameter is surrounded by 64 brilliant white brilliants on the bezel. The nine Stabindexes of the dial have 18 brilliants their discreet gloss. The crown of the elevator shaft also combines functionality with sparkling beauty: a 3 mm brilliance lends its extra glamor. Together, 83 diamonds of a total of 1.09 karat start the light. The watch is equipped with a light blue Louisiana alligator leather strap with pin buckle, which takes up the color of the dial and completes the ensemble in a refined manner.
Inside the PanoMatic Luna ticks the manufaktur-like automatic caliber 90-12, which can be admired through the sapphire glass floor. It gives an insight into the highly refined mechanical heart of the watch, which is equipped with the coveted duplex-Schwanenhals fine-adjustment by Glashütte Original. Numerous traditional elements of Glashütte watchmaking, such as the three-seater plate, blued screws and the typical glash nut decorations, also undoubtedly prove their origin.
